The Octli (tall glass) is the best cocktail I've ever had! The chicken liver mousse was astounding as well, definitely recommend it. We came right at opening at 5pm on a Friday night and it was nice to have the place to ourselves with great music in the background. Great unpretentious vibe.

The cocktails are great, the cheese plate was wonderful, but what really makes this place unique is their huge collection of rare and vintage liquor. Their Amaro selection in particular is second to none, and the bartenders are experts in their craft.

As someone visiting from Italy, I was truly impressed by the vast selection of liquors and bitters at this American bar, many of which are rare and carefully curated. The friendly and welcoming staff made the experience even better. It's a fantastic place to explore unique spirits and enjoy great drinks.

This place became my favorite bar in Chicago in a single visit and every subsequent visit has further cemented this view. So many delightful inventive cocktails and an incredibly nice staff that is genuinely excited to help you discover the menu and even go off it. In just my 3 last visits, they've offered me a shot on NYE despite it being past last call, made me a drink from their previous menu when I mentioned missing it and taken me on an impromptu tasting tour to help understand rums. Also the only bar I'm aware of that has a daily happy hour at a reasonable hour with multiple options actually offering a deal. We are so incredibly lucky to have this gem of a bar.

The cocktails are creative and terrific and the food is splendid. Old-school, dark-wood-panel vibes mixed with creative cocktail combos and stellar food! As for drinks, Salty Dog and Tea Time were surprisingly strong. Box Lunch tasted like cinnamon toast crunch just as the waitress said it would. I was very hesitant to try the Papa Don't Peach since it had egg white in it, but I tried and it wasn't bad! I don't remember anything about Kent or Baby Darlin', but I know I tried them. As for food, our group tried the gooey butter cake, which was good as a standalone cake with the berry compote, but not a gooey butter cake by any means. It was too dry. It tasted like a slice of vanilla cake with jam. Overall, a great place for drinks and some small/large plates - or, in our case, drinks and dessert.

Wanted a bourbon drink and the on menu options were limited. So the server asked what I liked and if I trusted them to make something and I did and this is what I got. Such a light bourbon drink with a hint of mint and perfect for the summer. It didn’t have a name so said they should call it the Nino after our server who btw was awesome… so get the Nino and order it from the legend himself!

When I go out, I'm looking for a safe space where I am treated with respect... But most importantly I love a silly little drink. It's always felt like the people who work here really appreciate the craft of creating drinks that offer a complex and enjoyable tasting experience. The menu is full of bangers and the bar is stocked with unique spirits that really allow you to go on a journey, discovering new flavor profiles. I tried Malort bitters and didn't hate it! I appreciate the gluten free options that they have on the menu but would love it if they had some gluten free breads from local bakeries. The potato cabins and the cheese platter are great compliments to the drinks. I would 100% say that this is my favorite non-gay cocktail lounge in Chicago. It's great for first dates and meeting with old friends. I've become comfortable enough there that I can go alone and just vibe and do crossword puzzles. The staff is so nice and they deserve all your money so be prepared to tip them what they deserve. I get excited when they announce new cocktails on Instagram.

Nice trendy bar, with unique handcrafted drinks. Server was friendly and knowledgeable about the drinks and had great recommendations. Can get quite busy during the weekends.
